30 Days of Thanks

Every year in the month of November,  I post daily in "30 Days of Thanks".  Usually my posts are a list of random things I feel thankful for that day.  This year, I decided to take a different approach to this month.

I will be posting Scripture passages each day from Sweet Blessings November Scripture writing plan on Contentment.  Also, I will be using 30 Day Prayer Challenge:  30 Days of Gratitude as my daily thanksgiving guide.

1 Timothy 6:6-11

"But godliness with contentment is great gain.  For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.  But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.  Those who want to get rich fall into the temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.  For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.  Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.  But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness."

Thank you God for salvation through Jesus Christ.

Thank you, Lord for salvation that only comes through your Son, Jesus.  You sent your sinless Son to take our sin upon Himself so that we could be saved from an eternity of separation from You.  He was the Living Word that became flesh and dwelt among us.  God with us, Emmanuel, that came from You, full of grace and truth.  Thank you that belief in Your Son gives us eternal life.  He came to give us life, and give us life abundant.  Thank you that Jesus gave His life for me.  Thank you that, Jesus Himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; and by his wounds I have been healed.
