30 Days of Thanks: Day 26

To be honest, I'm tired and cranky tonight.  An unexpected rehearsal was scheduled and I chose to miss just because I'm tired and cranky tonight.  Today wasn't bad--just jumping back into the grind after doing a lot of things around the house over Thanksgiving---is just hard.  In the midst of all that even when it is hard, I will still give thanks and count my blessings.  Even when it's easier not to...

Today's blessings:

  • homemade rolls by my sweet Tera
  • first day of our "Christmas Around the World" unit
  • safe travels on my three trips into town today
  • insurance that pays for doctor's visits and medication
  • that my identity is not wrapped up in what other's think of me, but what God thinks of me.
  • hot bowls of soup
  • gingerbread for dessert

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas 2018

We spent the day after Thanksgiving decorating, crafting and  decorating some more.

Tera helped me re-purpose a frame I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby into a Christmas card holder.

JP and Tera made this AWESOME nativity!  JP built it and Tera painted it!

I love Christmas lights!

We have lived in the same house for over 10 years and this is the FIRST year we have decorated the outside!   We spent the weekend making our own outdoor decorations.  Although we are still working on another project, I love the way it looks already and points everyone that drives by to the real reason we celebrate Christmas!

This  year's family ornament!
