Art

Close-up Flowers

We did a mini-lesson on Georgia O'Keeffe. A short biography found here. Then, we looked up Georgia O'Keeffe on pinterest to see a diverse range of her art. I found this project that we used as a guide for our close up flower projects.

Michael's first self-portrait

In order from the top--Daniel, Tera and Michael.  Great project, but we needed to be a whole lot heavier with the pastels to create a better resist.  JP did the drawing tutorial.

Basically, draw a sea turtle in very light pencil.  Fill in flippers, head and shell with geometric shapes.

Trace darkly with oil pastels.

Paint over with watercolors.

Sprinkle salt on wet parts.
